Lux View Villas and Suites
At this trip, we were looking for Privacy, peace and nature. We asked Greece experts Tom & Ella and they recommended the island of Karpathos to us. An absolute hit, because here on Karpathos there are small stylish hotels and luxurious villas with equipped with a private pool and fantastic views. We chose Karpathos Hotel Lux View Villas and Suites [ad] and enjoyed our time there so much.
Location and arrival
The owners and operators of Lux View Villas on Karpathos provide you with all the important information about your stay, such as grocery shopping, restaurants and taverns, even before you arrive.
We made our way to Karpathos by ferry from Rhodes. The ferry arrives in Pigadia in the southeast of Karpathos. From there it is about twenty minutes to Lux View Villas and Suites. Of course, you can also travel directly to Karpathos by plane, for example from Salzburg or from other places in Greece. Allow about 40 minutes from the airport in the south of Karpathos to the Lux View Villas and Suites.
On Karpathos, there is actually only one ring road that leads around the mountainous island. Again and again serpentine roads slope down to small villages or beaches. This is also the case with Lux View Villas and Suites and the small coastal town of Kyra Panagia. The view from the road is really breathtaking and gives a little taste of the beauty of the bays around Karpathos.
Lux View Villas is one of the most beautiful accommodations on Karpathos - absolutely quiet, in full sun until late afternoon and relatively sheltered from wind - the three villas and two (soon four) suites are settled above the wonderful bay of Kyra Panagia, Karpathos.
The distances are not far. The winding roads do not allow to drive too fast, so it takes some time to get from one place to the other on Karpathos, but always with a fantastic view.
It takes about three minutes by car from the Lux View Villas to the Bay of Kyra Panagia, about 15 minutes to Apella Beach and about 25 minutes to the starting point of the Kali Limni hike. The lagoons of Lefkos are about 40 minutes away on the west side of the island. Allow about 50 minutes to reach Olymbos in the north.
Equipment and design of the Lux View Villas on Karpathos
This accommodation on Karpathos consists of four suites and three villas, all of which have a very similar open structure. The design inside the villas is very open. All other rooms are connected through the open concept, which gives the accommodation a very bright and warm touch.
The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator including freezer compartment, oven, stove, cutlery and dishes. After arriving on Karpathos we recommend to go grocery-shopping and stock up on a basic set of groceries, because there is almost nothing to buy in Kyra Panagia. There was a small mini mart, but it was closed.
Enjoy the sun and the view on the wonderful terrace. Super comfortable loungers and a large dining table with plenty of seating and a luxurious hanging chair invite to spend the whole day outside. Even in the evening with a glass of wine and a light breeze, it is wonderful here. This absolutely quiet terrace with sea views is exactly the place you long for when it's cold and raining in Germany. Cool off from the Greek sun in the refreshing private infinity pool or in the stylish outdoor showers.
Prepare fresh fish or delicious vegetables on the high-quality gas grill for dinner. The outdoor area of the Lux View Villas on Karpathos is really amazing and the place to be.
Also the bathroom with toilet, sink and spacious shower is also well designed and equipped with fragrant shampoos, lotions and shower gels that smell of pomegranate and fig.
We loved the open bedroom with comfortable queen-size beds, air conditioning and large floor-to-ceiling double doors to the terrace, which you can simply push open in the morning.
The main difference between the suites and villas is that the suites are designed for couples and the villas are also suitable for families with two children. The villas have been opened for a season, the suites were completed recently.
The private pools in the suites can be heated and are therefore still nice to use in late October. In addition to the pools, you will also find a nice jacuzzi in the suites. The design in villas and suites is a bit different, but absolutely consistent in both cases. Both types of accommodation on this great property have their advantages. We felt very comfortable - both in the villas and in the suites - and absolutely enjoyed the unrestricted privacy of this pearl on Karpathos.
Activities in Karpathos
In our opinion, the highlight of Karpathos are the world-class beaches on this Greek island.
There are two absolute dream beaches within walking distance of the Lux View Villas. After a 20-minute walk you will reach Kato Laki Beach and Paralia Kato Lakkos, two very little visited insider tips. Both are really gorgeous bays - to be honest, we've only seen very few beaches that we liked better. The well-known, livelier Kyra Panagia Beach is only a three-minute drive away. It is around 20 minutes on foot.
The other beaches on the island, the wonderful little idyllic villages or the imposing Kali Limni are also beautiful and worth a visit. You can find out more about this in our Karpathos travel tips..
Culinary in the Lux View Villas on Karpathos
The villas and suites at Lux View on Karpathos are all self-catering accommodations. As already described above, you have a kitchen equipped with the most important utensils and a BBQ on the terrace. Otherwise we recommend you to enjoy the authentic Greek cuisine on Karpathos. Tina - your host - of course has great restaurant recommendations for you. We always enjoyed Sofia's tavern in Kyra Panagia. We absolutely adore Greek food - fresh fish and seafood, deliciously prepared vegetables and exciting flavor combinations. Exactly, what we love.
CONCLUSION TO LUX VIEW VILLAS ON KARPATHOS
We enjoyed our time at Lux View Villas and Suites so much that we are already making plans to return to Karpathos - to Tina and Manolis. A very untourist island with world class beaches, incredibly delicious food and an absolutely relaxed atmosphere. Lux View Villas is an outstanding accommodation with a lovely design and everything you need to have a great time.
