Shinta Mani Shack Siem Reap ♦ Cambodia
A heaven of tranquility amidst the hustle and bustle of Siem Reap.
The Shinta Mani Shack [ad], designed by Bill Bensley, amazes by its inspiring attention to detail and a clear line of design, but just have a look at the pictures. Small water basins with floating blossoms, delightful water games and elaborate floral decorations are to spot for around every corner.
In the midst of the four residential buildings with 66 rooms is the amazing pool area with ample chairs and large towels. The amazing staff pleases its guests with free massages, cool drinks and delicious ice cream. The poolside bar with its attached restaurant Bajtong serves snacks, coffee and cool drinks throughout the day. During the happy hour of 4-6 pm there is two for one drinks.
But what sets the hotel apart from other high-class houses is the hospitable atmosphere, the staff is creating. They spread sincere joy and honest interest in their guests life. The restaurant staff, the ladies from the SPA, the boys and girls from the reception and also the management - all of them make the the time in Shinta Mani a perfect stay.
In addition to the two mentioned properties, there are also the Shinta Mani Villas.
The three properties serve different price ranges, so there is a possibility for each purse at Shinta Mani.
Culinary treats at Shinta Mani Shack
Every evening a little sweet surprise awaits you in the room.
Even during dinner the Bajtong restaurant leaves nothing to be desired. Truly outspend is the restaurant Kroya, which is located in the Shinta Mani Angkor property across the road. We enjoyed our amazing dinner on swinging sofas, which are attached to the ceiling with four steel ropes. The quality of the 7-course meal offered here ($45 without drinks) surpasses everything, we have experienced in Asia so far.
Activities at Shinta Mani Shack
Organizing excursions to Angkor(from $30 per Tuktuk) or consulting on SPA activitites, the staff was very helpful in every case. Just mentioning the SPA - we had the Signature Couple Massage, which was really fantastic. We were washed, massaged and finally treated with fragrant oils.
Situation of the Hotel Shinta Mani Shack
The hotel is located 9 km from Siem Reap International Airport, about as far away from the legendary temple ruins of Angkor Wat. It is offering ideal conditions for exploring the UNESCO World Heritage site of Angkor Wat. The pub street and the old market of Siem Reap can be reached in about 10 walking minutes.
Our conclusion about our stay at Shinta Mani Shack
We stayed three nights at the Shinta Mani Shack and were absolutely thrilled. Unfortunately, the stay was far too short. We felt so incredibly comfortable.
We recommend the hotel without restrictions.
